You should not delay in in applying for Social Security Disability Benefits because you can lose out on a significant amount of money. The sooner you file your SSA application the sooner you will collect benefits. You should file as soon as it is apparent your medical condition will prevent you from working a full-time job for a minimum of one year. Also, you should not delay if you have a pending worker's compensation claim.
